Upper Iowa University’s main campus is located in Fayette, Iowa and the Milwaukee Center is just one of the six Wisconsin locations for UIU. Classes are also conveniently located at Gateway Technical College in Racine, Elkhorn and Kenosha. In addition, there are Centers located in Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Arizona, Oklahoma and Illinois along with Online and Self-Paced Degree programs. The Milwaukee Center offers Associate degrees in Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice, Psychology or General Business and Bachelor degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Criminal Justice, Financial Management, Graphic Design, Health Services Administration, Human Resource Management, Human Services, Information Systems, Information Technology, Liberal Arts, Management, Marketing, Public Administration, Psychology, RN-BSN, Sociology, and Social Science.. There are undergraduate certificate programs in Art Administration, Communication Studies, Criminalistics, Emergency and Disaster Management, Human Resource Management, Management, Organizational Leadership, Psychology and Social Work Training Certification classes which meet State of Wisconsin requirements. The Milwaukee Center also offers the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program through face-to-face classes in Milwaukee, or through our online program.
To meet the needs of its adult students, classes at the Center are offered Monday-Thursday nights from 5:30-10pm and Saturday mornings from 9-1:30pm; classes meet once per week. There are 8-week accelerated terms totaling 6 terms per year. Students can apply at anytime and start classes any term. Students may also combine classes at the Center with Online and Self-Paced Degree classes.
The diverse student demographic ranges from fulltime working adults to recent high school graduates. Classes are taught by adjunct faculty who are professionals in their field and hold a Master’s degree (minimum qualification) in the subject they teach.
Upper Iowa University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of North Central Association. The Wisconsin Centers are approved by the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board.
